Default 9 inch noises

I'm running a moser 9 inch with 31 spline axels and true trac 4:11 gears. Its got 500 miles on it and havent really beaten on it yet. Just wondering if its normal for it to have a slight whine while cruising in 5th or 6th gear? Also I got a nasty vibration starts around 70 mph and can really notice it on the decel. I have a BMR adjustable torque arm and tryed -3 -2 -1 settings and the vibration is still there and also I have the spohn drive shaft you guys think it could be the problem? I probably should have measured before I ordered the ds

Damn I don't have alot of good info for you but I just threw in a DLS nine inch and while I'm not done with the full break in its pretty quiet....I have a mild exaust with a QTP Y with cats and an SLP dual\dual and it maybe has a slight slight very slight noise to it which could just be tire noise.

No problems with vibration but I would add the conversion U-joint to your stock shaft and try it for awhile that will help diagnose or rule that out.

Ya that seems like a good idea. Are you useing a stock length driveshaft?

Yep just changed the yoke out with a 1350 yoke needed.

Napa part number: Precision 447 1350 conversion ujoint

I'd first try pulling the driveshaft and rotating it 180 degrees, and then reinstall it. This may get rid of the vibration. Bob

I'm going to try that tonite, I wish you guys were closer I would have you guys install the rear It would have saved alot of wasted time trying to figure things out. thanks mike

would 1 missing roller bearing under the caps cause that as well?

The Moser rear takes the stock length driveshaft. With the weight of the car on the tires, such as up on ramps, you could check to make sure the driveshaft has enough play in the tranny, and that is not bottoming out. I really doubt this is the cause of the vibration though. Bob

I checked everything out I turned the driveshaft 180 still vibrates and checked on if the ds bottoms out in the tranny which it dosent. I did notice my pinon seal is leaking, I have a deep gut feeling its something inside the rear awhile I was driving the car I noticed weird feeling coming from the rear it just dosent feel right.

Mine whines and vibrates too. Brand new shaft. I have 4.56s and a locker. Not sure what is going on. All new parts.

found the vibration it was from the my adjustable panhard not being adjusted propably car feels 99% better, know I just got to fine tune the suspension.
