Ford 9" question
Ford 9" question my neighbor gave me a 9" he had just sitting around, said it was out of an older bronco. i want to have this rear built up just for a spare. if i convert it to disc brakes instead of drums and weld on the brackets for coil springs and torque arm mount, would i need to do anything else. in other words, would this work...same length? i also have a broken true trak posi unit out of my 12bolt still sitting around, and was wondering if i sent it back to get a new one for free(maybe) if it would work in the 9" as long as the axle splines and gears were the same? thanks

its not worth the money to do it, for 610 from moser you can buy the housing only with the brackets to make it fit in the car with the torque arm mount, for 600 bucks its not worth the work it takes to make one fit put new housing ends on there to make your brakes work make up all the brackets. and no a 12 bolt differential will not fit in a 9"
