Default Question concerning Differential oil weight

I just got off the telephone with a very reputable rear end shop in my local area, which I am considering to do my gear swap from 3.23 to 3.73.

He seemed very knowledgable about our rear ends and their weaknesses.

He told me that he would be filling the differential with straight 140W oil.

My question is, is this oil too thick to run in a posi-rear? I have a 2001 Z28 (not SS) and believe I have a Zexel-Torsen unit.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
