the 12 bolt is a more effecient rear- if you use a quality gear & a good rear cover wont have any problems -- had one in my 69 camaro with a good gear & cover - friend has a dana in his 60 impala & breaks it about twice a year ( gear breaks) - anyone of them will break if you have a heavy car & torque
