Default What gear for my stall?

Whats the best gear for my 3400 stall? Im thinking either 3.73 or 4.10. I wouldnt mine having 3.90's but I dont know anyone who makes em. Oh my stall is a Precision Industries if that even matter. Im hoping very very soon to be changing rear ends so I can have some limited slip. The rear im hoping to get currenty is from a a4 z28 with 3.23's

Make sure you are ready to take the hit the car will have with 4.10. Those are pretty agressive and you will lose much of your MPG. Just input I have heard from the auto guys.

as of now I dont have good mpg. I do no hwy all city driving usually. I was thinking 4.10's but not sure if 3.73's would go better with my stall or not

I'd definitely go with 3.73's if its a daily driver. I'd only get 4.10's if its a track only car, its just too much gear for an auto in street driving. The motor will be screaming on the highway, and even on back roads at 50MPH you'll be turning some prety high RPM's, which kills your fuel economy and isn't too great for the engine.

I have 3.73's in my 12 bolt DTS rear end and a 3400 midwest stall, with over 400 rwhp.4.10's would be ok but more strain on your engine at higher rpm and gas milage would be much worse.Better at the track, probaly, but on the street everyday not so good.

I never really thought it would put more strain on the engine. Makes me wanna rethink the situation. Does anyone make a 3.90 gear?
