Rusted out axle

Rusted out axle I hate how rusted up my axle is, has anyone sanded it down and put on rust resisting paint on it? I was thinking of doing that, how much would it cost?
your talking about the housing 
almost asked if you had irs, and if you were still driving the carit would cost a package of sand paper and either spray on truck bed liner or flat black or whatever color spray paint. i painted my moser housing flat black...looks

Id go at it with a stiff wire wheel and a angle grinder, clean off as much as you can, than por 15 the **** out of it. That stuffs amazing, but a word of caution, when your applying it DONT GET ANY ON YOUR SKIN. it wont come off with any solvents just time lol
Oh and you can get it in different colors as well, or just black and silver i dont remember.
