Default preseving the 10 bolt with n20

My car is a stalled cammed a4 and it puts down350-355rwhp.Im thinking of adding a 100 shot to it,but did not know if the 10 bolt will hold. From a roll can I use the n20 then mash the peddle around 25-35 mph.I dont plan on going to the track with it till I get a 12 bilt or 9inch,so basically no off the line hard launches with it only from a roll will i be okay?
thanks
john

You will be fine. A 10 bolt suffers from launches on 6spd cars due to the fact there is no preload on it and it gets shocked every launch. An automatic is pretty easy on the 10 bolt. I have a stalled A4 and cut 1.7 60' times on my stock 106k rear all the time. Nitrous will not really be any harder on it. The launch is what hurts you.

i agree with brady346. There is a guy in a local car club we have here in college station, tx. who shortly after he bought his car new (2002 Trans Am) in 2002 bought a set of slicks, a stall and a 125 shot. He goes to the track atleast twice a month and makes as many passes as he can while there. I believe his stall is around a 3500 or so. He cuts 1.7s almost every run and his 10 bolt is just fine. I think he finally broke his 10 bolt and tranny on the same run about a year ago but he just put a shift kit in his stock tranny and rebuilt the 10 bolt with stock parts. He has since put in a heads cam package on top of the 125 shot and is still doing just fine. You will be fine.

I ran my car many times with stall, cam, nitrous, and slicks and didn't have any trouble. Then one time at the track after the burnout i did a dry hopped and adios 10 bolt. It's the luck of the draw sometimes. Good Luck.

10 bolts snap when you don't pre-load them. 10 bolts break with 6 speed cars because you can't pre load them.

When I orderd my Fuddle I was told with the 3200 stall, full bolt-ons, 4.10's, 150 shot, ET streets, suspension, preped track, that I could spray it off the line and be fine as long as I did not launch from idle..

Quite a few guys in the 10's on 10 bolts.

More then likley I will spray off the line.

Should be one SICK 60'....

SO if you were to say geta TA rear end cover for your 10 they come with bolts that allow you to "Pre-load" the gears...not a cure but it would help...right?

When I say pre load I mean you put your left foot hard on the break, give it gas slowly and you will feel the car twist a bit and the rear end raise up a little. If you give it to much gas teh car will move forward so you know when to stop.

That is pre loading.

When the light goes green let off the brake.

then David.wmv
Its one of my old runs and if you watch close you can see the rear of the car raise up
