Default Strange or Moser 9in???

I've got some spare cash burning a hole in my pocket and I'm really interested in a rearend. My question is, which would you guys recommend a Moser or Strange 9in? I'm sure they're both strong but one has to have its advantages over the other. I'm also curious if the Moser 9" uses 4 bolts to attach the torque arm like the 12 bolt does. That's one of the things that's got me feeling sketchy about it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

i just like moser i know they stand behind there work and if something goes wrong (which normally wont) but if they will pay for the shipping of the rear back to moser and replace whats needed and ship it back for free. ive also met there team at the track and they are a good group of fellows. when i get enough $ im getting me one from them hands down.

CS is one of those most important things to look at when buying something as expensive as a new rear end too!

I have had 2 mosers and they have been great. Lots of beating on with an m6 and no problems. They both do whine on the highway but i hear all do. What gears and third member are you looking at. Ive had a detroit locker, spool and tru-trac so if you need help deciding let me know. I recomend the tru-trac hands down.

Im not sure what the original poster wants but mine is a DD and doesnt have much power at all(yet). Im prolly gonna want 4.10's but possibly some 3.90's. I am thinking ill get moser just because they ship out much faster than strange and i think my stocker is gonna be done within the week. O and i need a 4-channel.

If I can get myself to go ahead and drop that much cash I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a Moser 9" with 4.10s and a Truetrac. As you said, they ship out a lot faster than Strange and if they're customer service is as good as I'm hearing these days then it should be a pretty smooth transaction. I guess next year it'll be time for some sticky tires.

Don't even consider Strange, they are rat bastards!!! I have a Strange center section. After the first install it whined so bad at highway speed it made driving unbearable. The gear oil was loaded with iron filings. They said tough luck. I had to threaten to take Strange to the Consumer Products Safety Comission to get them to fix it. Installed it the second time, after a couple of hundred miles the carrier bearing froze up. It was over tightened on assembly. More iron filings. I had the pumpkin rebuilt locally no thanks to the ******** at Strange. This is just a short recap of the horror story that had my car sidelined for months.

Moser is the better alternative, look closely at their housing it is made of thicker, larger diameter tubing with more structural welds.

Moser 9 Inch with Truetrac for F Body, your choice of gear ratio

ABS/TCS (4 channel) 3 channel not offered
$2,500.00 Shipped by UPS

I can have a Moser 9 inch on it's way to you two days after the order is received. The thicker but lighter aluminum center section shown in the pictures below can be optioned with the spool, but not with the Truetrac. Bob
