i have a 10 bolt from a 98 ss and was wondering .

Probably the mileage is different or the gear ratio.

As long as it's the same series ABS (3 or 4-channel), it will bolt right in Clay.

Believe '98 were Auburn, '99 and up Zexel Torsen.

Everyone keeps saying this, but I always thought the first year for the T2s was 2000 ?

I remenber reading the promos/new literature on changes made to the 2000 cars (my year), and they made a point of stating/kept harping on how much better the "new" (for that year)Torsen diff was compared to the previous two years' Auburns. Typo on GM's part maybe??

whats the difference between the two? I always get confused... which one is gears and which one is clutches?

it came out of a automatic. i have the m6. the way i understand it is i will have to change carrier. 2 to 3 series. am i on the right track?

What are you wanting to do? - if it truly came out of a stock 98SS A4 should be a 3 series carrier and 3.23's, and could be either 3 or 4 channel ABS.
