Default Cost to replace Rear

My cousin just got Bfg Drag radials. If he breaks his rear end, how much does it cost to fix/replace? And I assume you have to get the car towed if it breaks right? Thanks.

I hope to get a 12bolt for my car someday.

Right now we're trying to find the cost to replace/fix stock 10bolt. Hopefully its not too much.

You'll find the best deal by picking up a used 10-bolt from someone that swapped to a 12-bolt/9-inch/Dana. They usually sell them for $300-500-ish. Otherwise, you'll be paying a lot of money to replace broken parts in the 10-bolt (some people have paid upwards of about half the price of a new 12-bolt).

And on a personal note, if I was in that situation, I'd only feel comfortable if I had about $1500 laying around for the total bill (replacement parts, labor, tow, etc). If I didn't have that, I wouldn't be thrashing on it.

Ditto. I sold my 10 bolt with 4:10's in it for $100.
