I just ordered my 12 bolt from TBYRNE. I can't wait to see how those 4:10s feel!
BTW, Is it true you're not supposed to use synthetic fluid for an Eaton?

I called Strange on this last year. I was recommended 85w-140 non-synthetic.

I had stickers on mine that said to use 80w-90 NON-Synthetic and a bottle of additive:




However, I was advised by Jim Buschman @ Strange via email to use 85w-140 Non-Synthetic and 2 bottles of additive

But now I've got other problems (see my ABS sensor thread)


On a sidenote, make sure you check that the gears are correct BEFORE you accept the rear!!

I ordered mine with 4.11's and they came with 3.73's

I had already painted it and was ready to install....

Good thing I did a last minute check....

Because of you, that was the first thing I checked upon delivery. They at least got my gears right (numerically)...it remains to be seen whether or not they were set up correctly. And after a few stories of ABS problems like you (and skytower31), I'm glad I didn't go that route. Now to find the time to install my SJM ABS delete...

Ant of the Eatons with carbon clutches will hum during turns if you use a synthetic fluid. I found that out a few years ago the hard way. Or at least the pain in the *** way since I had to replace the clutch pack.

I plan on checking as much of I can.

My friend just got a Moser12 bolt. It was ordered with a 1310 yoke but came with a 1350 on it. That 1310 managed to fit in 1350 yoke but I didn't like the way it fit. Luckly we had a spicer joint laying around the shop, otherwise I would not have suggested 'might as well give it a shot'

What kind of gains should I expect at the strip?
