Default GM additive needed in a Zexel-Torsen?

Just recently had new gears installed (3.42) in my stock 10 bolt. Shop owner told me I didnt need the GM limited slip additivesince I had the Zexel-Torsen limited slip posi unit. I thought all Gm rears needed this. Who is right?

The additive is a friction modifier used in differentials with clutches or cones. Torsens use planatery gears so no additive is needed.

gm has a TSB to add it due to a "rusty screw" noise...if you experience this noise add a bit
