What is the best gears for a auto?

What is the best gears for a auto? I just found out my car has the GU2 = 273 gears
I thought I had the 323 but I was wrong! That is why my LT1 with the 323 gears feels so much better out of the hole but when I hit 35 mph I blow by the LT1. What gears do I get? I was going to do a stall but it would better im sure with a better gear than what I have now? Give me all your thoughts on this I only want to do this one time. I will need a new carrier I guess with a HPP3 to adjust the speedo and then of course the gears. What brand of gears do you also recomend?
I like my fathers setup 2000 Ram Air vert Vortech with aftercooler and 373 gears. I will be running Nos when I put it in as well as a stall and don't want it to be to much gear. My father also wants to do a stall but he is not sure of which one to go with. He has a hard time with traction with his nitto drags. Im sure with a stall and his gears would only make it worse

Re: What is the best gears for a auto? I'd get a converter first. With 2.73s the gain will be huge. With spray in your future, a ProYank Extreme 3600 would be ideal. For a little tighter feel, the PYE 3400 would be great.
For a less expensive option get a Vig 2800.
If you are going to spray, 3.42s are a good gear for a stock valvetrain. 3.73s can run out of top end on a stock valvetrain and 150 shot.
