Rear axle/Drivetrain Specialist? near Maryland?
my moser 12bolt sounds horrible. gear whine gets louder and louder week by week, month by month. hear high pitched noise constantly when car is movin, i think bearings are goin bad. tru trac diff is sloppy as hell, loose, and has a lot of play locking and unlockin. bottom line i think moser set it up poorly, and i want to get it checked and most likely rebuilt and have the gears set up by someone who knows what theyre doing. any shop near maryland that specializes in rear axlex, drivetrain....help

I assume you are aware of PSI in Glen Burnie & FBC in Baltimore. Neither are rear axel specialty shops but both are F-Body oriented & do gear swaps & rear axel work regularly & have experience with 12 bolts.

been to fbody, had a couple problems. they have a few great mechanics that kno their ****. but they also have alot of "off the street" mechanics that have no ****** clue what their doin, and i always get stuck with those lol. havent been to psi, might check em out. but those will be my last resorts, i wanna see if i can find a specialty shop. where do you go to get your work done?

There are no specialty shops around here that just do rears, anything Fbody related we can take care of in house but gear setups, weve used Steve across the street from us, and Wolford Brothers to set some up.

I don't know if they are still in business, or if they are, whether or not they still do high performance rear axle work, but Chesapeake Transmission was always the first place suggested when anyone asked for ring and pinion setup work on the old LS1.com boards.
