<img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Pro 5.0 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
This shifter is absolutly hands down the BEST shifter for LS1s! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I have driven my friends Hurst <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
and I have driven the stock shifter <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
They all SUCK compared to the <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> Pro 5.0. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
I can't even belive they call the Hurst a "short throw shifter" It is the longest short throw I have ever seen in my life!

I've not tried a B&M but I think your stuck with the B&M stick. I didn't care for the look of it.

If money is an issue, you can probably find a Hurst someone pulled and replaced with a Pro 5.0, B&M or Kirban, in the classifed selection for probably $50 or so. SLP also has a better shifter than stock but I don't think it's as good as the Hurst or Pro 5.0

The factory Hurst is better than the stock shifter. It's also quiet as stock which is important to some. To me the Hurst sit's too high and I don't like the stick angle. To me the Hurst lacks the percision of the Pro 5.0, but others may disagree. The Pro 5.0 is somewhat noiser in my car than the stock shifter and this took me a little while to get used too. It's a non-issue now. There are tricks to make the Pro 5.0 quieter but I'm happy with it so I've not bothered to change.

If you get the Pro 5.0, you may want to get a new shifter **** too, I got the SLP **** and it was nice improvement over stock.

Recently, got a Lou's short stick for the Pro 5.0 and look forward to trying it out.

It makes the throws about 17% shorter so you can shift faster or so they say.

I've not gotten it installed yet so I don't know if it is or not. Looks like it will be a good mod.
