I'm running a thunder racing girdle, but I also had the 4.10s mikronited. Also did the stud kit. M6 car. Gears only in for about a month so far though, so no opinion yet.
So whats the deal, once you put some drag radials or slicks on, you may have wheelhop?
Don't seem to be having any here, but also running the whole spohn rear suspension.

I would say that anyone who has gone quick with a 10 bolt is a auto car. The guy who started this post is a M6. I snapped a axel with my stock rear with about 750 miles on the car with a set of MT ET streets pulling a 1.64 60ft. Bottom line is that a 10 bolt will not last with a M6 if you plan on going to the track and hooking up. It may last you a while on the street with street tires but no girdle will make your 10 bolt last. Save up and get a 12 bolt with 4.30 gears and be done with it. If you were auto then that would be a hole different story but your not

I believe that the 7.5 is a complete luck of the draw. I know of a buddies bone stock WS6 that had 1200 miles on it and he was pulling into Dennys and SNAP there it went. And then, another buddy has a Z28 that is Cammed and running slicks with 3.73 gears and I know for a fact of more than 60+ drag strip runs. I have had a set of 4.10's sitting in my garage for a few months. Still debating!!! And a TA cover installed for more than 2 years now

Anyways, broke all 4 spider gears inside the carrier with a stock rear end cover. Don't know if a girdle would have helped that
Dyno'd 332hp/341tq at the wheels with an OK tune and Spec 2 clutch after a 12-bolt and steel driveshaft swap, which maybe robbed me of 6-7 ponies.
Now I have a better tune and a better clutch that shouldn't be slipping.

I've had richmond 4.10s and a TA cover for 10,000 miles, 7 trips down the track, and a 50 mile dash through the canyons north of L.A. ...hasn't broken yet but it sure lets me know it's not happy about the way I treat it. I'm playing the waiting game right now. I think I'm going to put the MTs back on and do it on purpose and tell my wife I don't know what happened but I have to buy a new rear end. Muahaha

I have a M6 with a Moser 12 bolt, 33 spline axles, HD Eaton posi, 4.11 Prostreet gears, with a T/A cover with a stud girdle. I am very happy with the set up. I wish I had never spent a penny on fixing my 10 bolt, it is a waste of money.

ive rebuilt my 10 bolt 6 times in the past year, after it broke the first time, i upgraded to the thunder racing cover.... every other months it seems i snap a ring gear, or grenade the differential.
dana 60 now and i never have to worry about it again....completley indestructible.

Yeah I've had nitto 555rs and 425 rwhp for 20k miles + on my stock 10bolt and shes hanging in there. No strip runs but a lot of times I drive it on straight old country roads just like I'm at the strip except maybe 1/2 or 1 mile runs!
If she dies then I'm going 12bolt with 4.10s. In the next 6 months I'll be upgrading the 3.42s to 4.10s anyways...

I drive it all the time, its my daily driver by choice, i do have a truck though.
Im also very VERY hard on my car. It also saw the track every weekend almost during the summer, and saw its fair share of 5kRPM clutch dumps on hoosier slicks both on the street and at the track.
the 10 bolt would probly tell a judge i was an abusive father.
