mine has done the same thing also leaks from the axle seals. that's what I get for using ford parts. 
New Moser 9 leaking
New Moser 9 leaking New moser 9" with complete aluminum center section looks to be leaking from pinion yoke seal, has anyone else had this? I ordered the complete center section hoping not to have these issues.
I must have had 9" on my mind in my sleep because when I woke up, thats what I was thinking, over fill some how, lol.
Now, just need to figure out what that vibration is about. Bob, is there really a 1" offset like was mentioned? I am so ready to order a rear, but, that vibration thing has me scared.

It's not over filled and the vent tube is not clogged or kinked. Leak is ok with me a just want the vibration gone. moved the rear towards the drivers side about a half inch and it still vibrates need to move it that way some more the drive shaft still doesn't look straight.

Ive had 3 9inchs, all brand new center sections in my f-body. All have leaked from the pinion from day one. Ive had the pinion seal replaced twice now and still leaking. Im just going to live with it. Every oil change i spray it down and it makes me feel better. For some reason i keep tricking myself into thinking that will fix it.

I also have a leak with my new Moser 9". Assuming that I check the fluid level often and ensure that I never go low... just how dangerous is a small, slow leak? What if it's also apparent at the third member?
Talked with moser this morning and they said the same check fill level and vent tube. I called the shop to tell them. They said when they put it up on the lift to do the torque arm they saw the leak and changed the pinion yoke seal then. They also said the pinion yoke shaft looked like it had been sand blasted around the seal area, now we know this should not be looking this way. They tried to smooth it out a little but still leaking. Fill level and vent tube correct.
Mine leaks like a biotch from the vent in the front towards the top by the yoke but not too much from the vent tube on the axle tube. The oil was going in so slow that it started to just barely drip and I checked it to confirm it wasn't over filled. It just blows out the vent.
I had a 9 inch that seemed to leak from the pinion seal. Turns out it leaked through the yoke and out around the nut. Removed nut and cleaned with brake cleaner. Used sealer on nut and reinstalled.

Any one willing to try some seal swell stuff, lol? Either should fix the leak or not. Shouldny hurt anything but the seal and that is an easy swap. Wow, blows out the vent tube??? What brand lube are you useing? Maybe it is foaming up too much? Also would depend on where it was located too. I am asuming axle tube but thats just a guess.
