Default Gas pedal problem HELP!!!!!

It appears my gas pedal is really sticky.

When i first put my foot on the gas pedal it really stiff and takes some pressure to push the gas pedal past the stick point im not sure what's wrong?? Any help out there????

I have already checked the trottle body and have disconnected the trottle cable and i know its not the trottle body.

Check your throttle cable for a "kink"( sharp bend). If you have had it disconnected recently for head or intake work it might have been bent, the sleeve will not always show what could be damaged inside. It would be a good idea to replace as it is simple and cheap insurance against a stuck throttle. Did you check your peddle for freedom and smooth operation?

PS It is also possible that some strands of the cable have broken, and are grabbing against the sleeve. This could happen if there is not a physical stop for the peddle(not sure how a f-bod is set up) and you punched it hard enough, long shot, but possible.
