Default really bad shutter problem....help??

Ok. just had a cam/verter installed and i'm getting a real bad stutter around 2000rpms and throwing some o2 codes. i had taken it back to the shop and they say that its the o2 problem and some shift point problems causing the verter to lock/unlock like it is. they got it fixed for a while now its back. could this be a bad torq converter? i had the code before i put this one in and never had this problem. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> i've gotta take it back saturday....anything i should ask them about? or is there anything i can do?

what kind of 02 codes? Rear O2 codes shouldn't be a problem, but if you are misfiring that will cause lock-up issues.

If you are real lean (high positive LTrims), that can cause some issues.

Have you done any tuning yet? I'd get rid of the codes and test your Ltrims. If they are fine, then I would look at the converter.

The o2's are the P0131/0134. yeah, i've had tuning. I'm not getting the misfire codes (i think it was deleted) but my tech II shows misfires all over except like 2 cylinders. should the "detection" be turned off too? Like yesterday, i was pout driving and started coasting to a stop, the car started jumping around like i had a clutch and was about to stall out. real hard.

You need to turn off misfire detection too. It will still cause your converter to unlock. Shudder problem sounds more related to calculated load in the pcm. What are your l-trims?
