Default re dyno after strange60

i finally got on some rollers after installing the strange60. 4.10 gearing was the same and my exhaust is prolly a little more freed up but i'm very happy that i did not lose much power. it was actually a hotter day too but new #'s are 386.9/372.8. old #'s were 393/377. i've had zero issues with this rear end besides a slight whine at higher speeds and loved that it bolted in soooo well. i hope this will help anyone researching built rear ends.

I havent been following the build up, what rear was in it previously, 12 bolt, 9" or stocker 10 bolt.

stock 10 bolt with yukon 4.10's. i know people inquire about hp/tq loss with the addition of a built rear end.

Yea, that certainly is impressive a average 10 bolt to 12 is like 12-14 hp.

I was a part of the original GP on here through LS1speed and i got a killer deal. build/ship time took twice as long but once it went in, i forgot about all that mess.

i personally was expecting a lot more loss so thats why i went to the same dyno for comparison. my original #'s was thru a single cut out open and hooker aerochamber. this session, my exhaust is now 2 dynomax 12" bullet mufflers welded in line and dumped before the rear end. it is loud to say the least.

I lost more than that by going from stock rims and tires to 17x11's with Goodyear GSD3's. Nice!

What size axles did you get? Also you running a Posi unit or spool? I am going to be picking one up here in about 2 weeks!!

it was built with 35 spline axles and the power lock diff. the trutrac was on backorder when mine was being built

it truely is an impressive peice of equiptment.

that's pretty sweet! when i hit the rollers back to back when my 9" went in i lost 8hp and something like that in Tq. nice thread though, it seems a lot of people **** and moan about losing a few HP from going to a real rearend, when the difference isn't noticable, especially if you go from a stock 3.42 rear end to a built one with a larger numerical gear like a 3.73, 3.89 or 4.10!!
