10 bolt cover or NOT!

I know this has been discussed quite a few times before but i can get a new rearend cover for 155 shipped. Will it actually protect my rear or will i break it just as easily. I have a cammed ls1 (torquer v3), m6. Soon it will have a new clutch and drag radials.

cam might be ok, clutch may be ok, drag radials..... now your pushing it.
im putting 4:10's in soon with a cover stud kit and solid pinion spacer and im hoping for the best on street tires...

waste of time and money, read the sticky on how the 10 bolt is sure to break eventually... no matter what you do to try to strengthen it. Save up for a 9" bro

If nothing else, it DOES make changing the gear oil MUCH less of a p.i.t.a. than the stock cover (IF you plan on keeping the 10 bolt for any length of time).

True for the bling and ease factor, I think a gridle is worth while upgrade, debate if you want if it helps but it does make most owners feel a bit safer.
