shift kit Before I bought my car the guy had a shift kit installed in it. The thing is when I'm racing or have it floored it won't shift in to 3rd gear. It will red line around 95 or 100 mph and the rev limiter kicks in adn the needle starts bouncing. He also had a different chip put in. I just want to know what could be wrong or why it won't shift when floored. Otherwise it shifts fine. thanks
Re: shift kit I doubt it is the shift kit. We don't have "Chips" per se, so it is hard to guess what has been changed. May just be a simple change is needed to the 2-3 shift point. Did he change the MAF? If yes put a stock MAF with stock MAF ends back in. If the car is high mileage, you may be ready for new clutch packs in the tranny.
