Need HELP Diagnosing sound!!!
A little over a month ago I had some exhaust work done to my t/a. I had a bullet muffler welded into the i-pipe, then a cut-out, and on back through a Hooker catback (also have hooker lts and ory). After a month or so of driving it with the cut-out open (sounds freakin awesome ), I seem to have developed a "new" noise.
I first noticed it about a week ago. A "chirpy" metal on metal kind of sound. It wasn't very noticeable at first, only when I shifted and the exhaust note reached a certain pitch would it squeek and chirp. Now it seems to have gotten worse , and found a much wider exhaust pitch range to squeek at me. I checked all of the exhaust piping and didn't come up with anything there, so I thought it might be suspension related, but when I drive over a bump or rough spot in the road it doesn't seem to do it.
BTW... When sitting in the driver seat, the chirping seems to be coming from the right rear of the car. But I could be wrong.
...ant ideas are appreciated! Thanks
