shift kit I bought a 99 trans am back in november and since I got it I noticed that it doesn't like to shift into 3rd gear when I'm racing. I know it came with a shift kit before I got it but wasn't sure if that would cause it. I should shift into 3rd around 95 mph but instead it will red line and the needle will start bouncing back. I have to let off the gas completely for 2-3 seconds for it to shift. I just wanted to know what could cause it. thanks

Re: shift kit The shift points are determined by the computer right? If I got the hypertech chip or that programmer would that change it? I was just wondering if when they installed the shift kit if they could have messed up the transmission. thanks for answering
