what can i do????? i have an 02 silverado, and i want to do something to strengthen the tranny, or upgrade all together. i am gonna be running a 6.0 heavily modded, and a 4.10 rearend...i would love to go m6, but that would be redundant...what are your ideas...oh, nitrous is also in the picture.
Re: what can i do????? Your Silverado has the same tranny that the F-bodies have. The 4L60E tranny. Yank and FLP (two sponsors) can rebuild those to handle alot more abuse. Expect to spend around $2K for a 4L60E upgrade.

Among other things, it features five-pinion reaction and output gearsets, compared to the 4L60-E's four pinion sets. Re: what can i do????? There's only one answer I see, especially since you said NOS. 4L80E, it'll be the last tranny you ever buy. It's computer controlled, or not! That's a heavy *** truck.
