Help adjusting master cylinder?

Help adjusting master cylinder? I just installed my Mcleod twin disk and adjustable master cylinder.
The clutch engages too far near the end of the pedal as you are letting it out. I have messed with the adjustment, and I can get the lenth of the pedal to change, but not the engagment point.
What happens is the pedal is too close to the floor, and it engages too near the end of the throw. I want the pedal a little longer, and the engagement point to be futher into the stroke. I want to be sure that the thrust bearing is fully disengaging.
Can anyone help?
