Default Transmission question
I have a 6-speed, and my engine wouldnt start(long story). So me and a few friends tried to push start it and pop the clutch to see if it would run. My engine is being replaced cause I didnt know it was ruined at the time.

My question is, is it pretty bad on the tranny to try and push start it and pop the clutch?

People have been starting manual transmission cars like that for ever....

I have never heard of it being particularly "bad" for a tranny.
