what gears

I have a 94 A4 Z28 and im wantin to put gears in soon i was wondering what you guys have im goin to put 3.73s i have 2.73s right now and i want a gear that dosent whine so i was just wondering the best for the cheapest

I know a lot of guys that have good luck with Motive gears. They are one of the cheapest and seem to be NO quality issues. Gear whine is a result of a bad install...

whats the difference between the perfomance and the gm ... i had a buddy that put the performance in and they whined and a reputable shop did them they tried to adjust and they stilll couldnt get them then he went to the slp and no problem

It really depends on who does it. I have 4.56's and they don't make any noise. The guy who did them has been installing gears for 40 years.

id do the 3.73s you will love it.people kill me saying certain brands whine.if it whines its not set up correctly.better get some sticky tires too

just went from 2.73 to 3.73 and love them. im running richmonds and they really dont whine. they really wake up the car and the rpms arent that bad for an a4. 70mph is 2400rpm with stock tire size. not sure what other mods you have but you will definitely need some sticky tires. if i go wot anywhere under 40mph, the tires break loose.
