How long have you had it in the car?

Summit will tell you that there isn't a tru-trac for the F-body's 7.625" 10 bolt because their computers list it for a 7.5" 10 bolt. Don't listen to them and order the 7.5" tru-trac......it works perfectly. I'm sure mine was $349 from Summit.

I installed it in November, not very long I know. But after about 500 miles (just wanted to be extra sure) beat the absolute crap out of it and nadda. I've also changed fluid 3times to see if anything was happenning in there. I do alot of highway driving and the TA is my everyday driver also.

I just got my True-trac, 4.10's, Main cap Studs, TA girdle installed today. Still have a good 300 miles of break-in but the gears make it so much nicer to drive around. Bucking is dramatically reduced and it is just overall like driving a stock car again. I wish I would've done the gears (atleast) earlier.

Now the experiement begins, but seeing as how this car is probably only gonna have nittos and under 3000rpm launches, the setup shold hold up well....oh yeah and the fact that my uncorrected horsepower is probably around 350rwhp can't hurt things either(gotta love living at 4500DA)

That tru-trac is one beefy *** diff. I'm almost positive it will be the last thing to break in the 10 bolt.

I'm very surprised this isn't a more common mod. It's very inexpensive (but not cheap) and makes a huge difference in the 10 bolt. I would imagine a stout M6 car will still break the ring/pinion gears, but an A4 could probably stand up to alot of abuse with one of these diffs installed.

Bottom line.......best mod I've made to my T/A so far.
agreed. although mine isnt on a 10bolt

Wanted to bring this back from the grave.

Just wanted to state again that I don't want any "10-bolt....nothing will fix it, buy a 9" rear". That position has been very well stated and understood.

However, having been a couple years ago, I would like to see if there are anymore reviews of the truetrac in 10 bolts and how they are holding up given your other mods.

Thank you, James
