Mr. Tightwad here... ...the old @ss end is about to go Tango Uniform.
I'm thinking about swapping out my p.o.s. stock Torsen for the SLP heavy duty unit & the 33 spline axles from Moser. <$800 vs >$2100-2400 for a 12 bolt.
I gotta figure the stock unit has lasted this long 'cause of the girdle (12k miles), but what is the reaonable % of strength vs the 2 choices listed above?

Re: Mr. Tightwad here... Everything I've seen has indicated that spending money (especially $800+) on the 7.5" is money you should have saved for the 12 bolt or 9". Yes, it will be stronger; however, I don't believe that those are the parts that often fail.

Got a custom 12bolt w/ all kindsa bells & whistles comin' next week (Moser housing/yoke, Yukon gears & custom diff).
