I haven't had the "marbles" sound like a lot have had but I have had and still do have the loud whining noise and it is still there after the gears were replaced, and then an entire new rear-end was swapped in. If it is still there, call Pontiac Customer Service and file a complaint (will get things going much quicker) and they will send a Rep or Engineer out to look at it and try and help the technicians fix the problem. DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU IT IS NORMAL!!! IT'S NOT! If it is still there then file a defect notice. This doesn't mean you will loose your car to lemon law but will give you more leverage in getting the car fixed right whether it is by GM or by a mechanic of your choice and GM refunding you for the work.

Keep on them and don't let it go and say fine I will pay for it myself...it's under warranty use it!
