which thirdmember

i need a complete third member for my fab 9 housing. I dont know which parts to put in it? I want the aluminum case and the larger pinion bearing. Needs to hold up 1200 hp (dont ask).

Call Danny Miller's rear gears (636-861-0087)

He builds awesome 3rd members and has good pricing. He's built my last two.

My first one was as quiet as the stock rear, and that's no exaggeration! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I had to get him to build me a second one because I broke the case on the first.

for 1200 HP, probably $1550 complete. That would be:

Pro Gear</li>
Light weight spool</li>
Big timken pinion brgs</li>
10 bolt pinion support w/ ARP studs</li>
billet caps</li>
billet yoke</li>
choice of gears</li>

I just paid (and received 3 days later <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> ) for:

Mark Williams nodular case</li>
Lightweight spool</li>
3.50 gears</li>
big bearings</li>

I reused my billet pinion support and billet yoke.. It was $950 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> plus shipping..
It's not cheap to go fast.

Also, he'll recommend a pro gear, which isn't going to work very well on the street.. I stayed with a street gear, but there isn't any reason to believe I won't break another pinion gear. my car is a street car, that makes it even harder to get parts that will last...

FWIW, I paid made the order tuesday noonish. It shipped Wednesday afternoon, and it was on my doorstep when I got home from work today. That's unbeatable.
