Remove or not remove? I have a pro5.0 shifter and was wondering about the shift stop bolts. I,ve heard that the T56 has its own internal stops. So does that mean I can take them out. I saw that someone had a problem because the stops were not letting it go all the way into 4th and burn up the syncros..How likely is this to happen with mine. Can the tranny be damaged with hard shifts if the pro5.0 stops are not in.

there is never a problem with the stops unless they were left loose and moved or were just plain set incorrectly.
use the stops and set them correctly.. @ 2 turns away from the handle in 3&4 and check the rest... you want about a penny's thickness of clearance in all gears.
tighten the bolts with the locknut supplied or loctite.
please just do it.
