Looking for gear recommendations Car:
1970 GTO.
Weight:
I'm figuring around 3600 lbs. It'll have fiberglass front and rear bumpers, a fiberglass hood, and possibly a trunklid. But, the car will also have A/C, power steering and power windows and locks.
Drivetrain:
03" LQ9 and 00' 4L60E, putting approximately 450-500hp to the rear wheels. 12 bolt with a Detroit True Trac type differential.
This is going to be my daily driver when I move to Florida. I will be building the motor to make as much power down low as possible. No cam or converter have been chosen yet, but they will both be selected based on my power needs and to a lesser degree, my rpm requirements.
I'm not sure if I should go with 3.73's, 3.90's, or 4.10's. Any suggestions based on experience? I've had cars with all three ratio's before, but never with the OD trans.
