Default Calculating MPH & RPM with 4.30s & 26" ET Streets

I am looking at 4.10 vs. 4.30 gears for my 12 bolt. I am trying to calculate RPM and MPH with my M6 and 26" ET Streets.

I am using this site /www.f-body.org/gears/.

What is the actual height of a 26" ET Street?

I don't have the tire/rim setup yet so I can't measure it. 26" ET Streets on 15" Prostars.

I am at 421 rwhp but a stock weight WS6. I am trying to figure out whether I will run out of gear at the traps. My rev limiter is 6800.

I think the 4.30s with help with my stock weight but I don't want to run out of gear.

Thanks,

Mike

Very simple---->Use this to figure it out
MPH X GEAR X336 DIVIDED BY TIRE SIZE

EG
4.10 X 121 X 336 DIVIDED BY 26in tire = 6464rpm
Figure this would be 6500 threw the lights at 121MPH
Perfect for my car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks for the replies.

I have been using this site www.f-body.org/gears.

What is the actual height of the 26" ET Street??

My 275/40/17 right now are 25.66" inches tall. Now if I plug in a value of 26" exactly there is a one mph difference at 6800 rpm. If the ET Street is really 26.5" then that may be another mph.

I also realize the tire will grow down the track, so when I calculate this what are the realities with this tire?

Thanks,

Mike
