Default Pulling axels...Fulid change necessary?

I need to pull my strange axels. I don't have to pull the cover off to do this, but if I pull the axels out, do I need to change the fluid or will it stay in the rear? Thanks.

I think it will stay in there for the most part. If any comes out just top it off then you put the axle back in.

I take it you don't have a 10 bolt? As long as the axle is level, you shouldn't loose much if any fluid.

The fill plug should be below the bottom of the axle tube, so you should be fine. If you throw handfulls of sand in the tubes then you would have to change the fluid yes.
