Default Question about Ram discs-910 or 6130?

I'm looking at getting a ram clutch set-up for my C5 but am a little confused. My car will make no more than 425 RWHP and is driven daily and raced on ET STREETS on the weekend. Ram recommended the 910 disc, but what I don't understand is this. With their VDS system the 910 disc is used for nitrous while the 6130 disc is the upgrade over the organic disc. I thought the 6130 was the most "track Type" disc with occasional street driving. Help! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I personally dont know anyone thats had a problem with the 6130 disk but I have seen several posts where the 6130 fused to the flywheel. RAM suggested to these people they try the 910 disk. I have not heard anything bad about the 910 disk so that is what I am getting. Either disk will work great I am sure. There are a lot more people completely happy with their 6130 than poeple who have had this one problem.

I wore my 6130 out very quickly with just my heads and cam car. I think i got about 40 passes out of it with 6k rpm launches. I just put the 910 disk in and i like it much better. The 910 chatters less and grabs harder than the 6130 ever did. Mikey is a great guy to deal with at Rapid Motorsports and RAM stand behind their product if you do have a problme with it.

The 910 disc is better "street" clutch over the 6130 disc. The 910 can be slipped better, handles the heat better, grabs harder, hold more power, and is less aggresive on taking off.The 6130 is better suited for track only use, limited street use or SERIOUS street use where the use of slipping a clutch is NOT needed. Now iam not saying the 6130 disc won't work on the street, just the 910 is a better disc for slipping the clutch( drag radial use)or driving style.

Alan, I hate slipping the clutch to go for a good launch. That's why I gave up on my DR's and mounted a set of ET STREETS. Unbeleiveably my stock 02 Z06 clutch is holding up. So say i drive the car on the street everyday and race on the weekends with ET streets and launch at 5 grand. What disk would u use if this was ur car. I looked at the VDS system but I don't have the patience to adjust it-I just want to install it and forget about it.
