Need help ASAP Moser 9" wheel stud question

Default Need help ASAP Moser 9" wheel stud question

What size knurl are the moser 9" axles. I'm gonna order some ARP studs but they list two different knurl sizes. I thins it's .509 but I want to be sure. Thanks

It depends on what size studs you had installed in there when you ordered it. If you stayed with the stock size metric studs (like a lot of people initially do, including myself), the knurl is the same as stock (can't remember off hand exactly what it is).

If not, you'd probably have to take out one of the studs and measure. What size stud are you trying to switch to. Unless you can find one in the correct knurl, you'll have a very hard time. The Moser axle flanges are virtually impossible to drill, and can only be done correctly by a machine shop. I want to go to a 5/8 stud, but haven't been able to find anyone around here that can re-drill the flanges. I can't afford the down time right now to pull the axles out and ship them back to Moser.
