Detroit Tru-trac Update
Well, the car is in the shop, we are swapping in a new Tru trac and 4.11 gears for my Moser. I couldn't change to a Eaton unless I wanted to pony up for new axles w/ abs exciter rings.
The rear end was locking both tires on the turn horribly, the sunday before I dropped it off all of a sudden stop locking up, whatever messed up, came dislodged. Unfortunately the unit is sealed so the shop cannot tell what happened which annoys me greatly.
But the new gear will be in soon, car goes to the track friday, we will see if this "upgraded" unit is better then the original tru trac I even have the tag with the original model #.

Welp, I got the diff, I can look at it from the axle side inward, nothing looks signifigant, I am very suprised, must have been some clip, either way the new diff is in and drives like before, perfect. The 4.11's does fine and I enjoy them. The ring and pinion looks perfect.

Thanks Bob, we will see, there was no glitter in the oil, no chunks, no nothing but you really cont do anything to the unit as Eaton state, non-serviceable.... uggghh. If it does pop im getting a Eaton HD unit, I dont care.
