9" Differential Question?
Would a new factory trac-lock 31 spline differential be good enough for a street/strip application car with 400-500 rwhp? I understand clutches go bad eventually.. Dont have $480 for the auburn and seen currie made a traclock unit for $400.. This is for a 90% street car, so didnt want a spool or locker.. Whats some opinions..

I just bought a 9 inch with a Truetrac from Driveline Solutions. Scott told me when I bought the rearend that he had guys running 8s with Truetracs. I think A Truetrac will be fine for your application.

The Truetrac is indeed what I would go with. No clutches to wear out, no posi additive is required. You will never know you have a truetrac in there, it is extremely driveable.
Here is a link to my prices, which start at $2,400.00 shipped to your door. Bob

The problem is I have a axle housing kit already w/ a center section.. So I need a diff and gears.. When I ordered they asked if I was using a true trac or clutch type diff.. Well me not knowing any better I said clutch type.. So I guess True Trac is not a option cause axle length..
