Read every wheel hop thread and still no answer? Please help
Well my car developed a sudden case of wheel hop all of a sudden. I went to the track a few months ago with no wheel hop at all. Havent changed a thing a now I have wheel hop. I just installeed an aftermarket torque arm (pinion is set correctly) to see if it will solve the problem and it didnt. My car is not lowered and I have a Moser 12-bolt, LCA, panhard bar, subframes and I check the tranny mount while I put the new torque arm in. I am running on Nittos that are inflated properly and have tried several PSI settings.
I was wondering if the cold temps lately are a factor with the nittos? All the parts are greased and was checked to make sure nothing is binding by being overtorqed. The rear fluid is fine ( I saw it in another post) and I just dont know what the hell can be causing it at this point.
My next thing is just to but the KDW's on the rear real quick and see if I stilll have the wheel hop. Can anybody think of anything else?

I have everything you have and I have no wheel hop. My BMR adjustable lower control arms took care of my wheel hop before the torque arm. Nittos do get hard when it is cold and will cause wheel hop.

Track conditions could be a reason for the sudden change.
You could try the lowering brackets. They are not just for lowering the car but lower the arms to change the geometry of the rear suspenion.
Think of them like shelf brackets. To get the best support, you'd put the brackets out to the end of the shelf to make it stronger. That's what happens when you lower the connecting points of the arms. It changes the pivet point or center of gravity.

LCA lowering brackets will probably cure you. Also keep your rearend fluid changed every 10K or so. That used to affect my wheelhop problems. The fluid gets old and one wheel will spin way more than the other. These flimsy 10 bolt rears suck.
Thanks for the info guys. I am putting the car in storage tomorrow so I am not going to worry about it til winter is over.
Lar's SS-I will keep that inmind but I never had wheel hop before I think there is just something messed up or out of whack right now. I dont trust the trannmission mount either so I am going to upgrade that after winter also.
DriveATransAm-They are the 16 inch 555r's. Its not just going around corners I cant even do a burnout. I was able to sit there and roast them all of the time.
Dustin Butts-I have a Moser 12 Bolt that I just changed the fluid in about 2k miles ago. Thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> .
I am going to have a shop around here check the whole geometery of my rear after winter. I am going to ghet the new tranny mount (precaution) while they probably going to unbolt everything anyway. I may even get the lowerung LCA just in case also.
