Default Broken Axle?

For some odd reason one day i started hearing my rear end pop when i would make sharp turns...kept on getting worse and worse untill i decided to check the fluid and it seems like my passenger side axel lost some teeth and there was alot of metal shavings...im a complete noob at this so do i need a whole new rear end...is it an easy fix? i wasn't able to take some pics...if i drive it would i mess up the whole rear end? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

I just broke my rear end for the 2nd time within 2 weeks. My carrier teeth were all grinded from a hard 4.5k drop. It drove fine in a straight line but any slight turn it would grind. time for a new posi and 373s
