Relocation Brackets

I just bought a 9" and am welding some LCA relocation brackets onto it. Anyone done this off the vehicle? It seems if they are aligned with the brackets that are already there, that they should be fine. I was told they should be welded on in-vehicle.

Anyway, to make a long question short. Has anyone had a problem with welding their brackets on off the vehicle?

I welded mine off the car? I had to cut some of my brackets out thos to clear my brakes since my rear is narrowed
