vette Rear end

How big is the ring and pinion on a c5 Vette rear end, Diameter wise? Is the rear end pretty tough with 4.10's or is it comparable with the 7.5" 10 bolt?

my first guess here is you're comparing apples to kiwi's. . .
The vette C5 rear end. . .is the transmission. . .since the drive shaft turns at engine speed...don't think this is a good question.

Ok i got you there so is it pretty strong or not can they handle drag radial and not snap, are they going to take 1.6-1.5 60ft's? Thats what im trying to get at.

My stock rear end took an entire summer of N20 assisted 1.5-1.6 60', at least 30 passes, with an A4 and 4K stall. It also served as my daily driver, then and now.

It's kinda complicated.. .but the same rules apply to it as the 8.5. M6's are gonna be harder on them... they can handle sub 2.0 60's fairly well.. usually the output shafts will go before the rear does... if you upgrade the output shafts then the rear will be next.. but i know of a few 500-600 hp vettes around here on drag radials and most are still on the stock rear end... one just blew the rear out about 8 months ago. But the output shafts are the weak link...
