Default Spool?

I know that this has probably been asked before...But I can't find a definite answer. Right now....I'm looking at getting a 9 inch with 35 spline axles, 4.10's, and a full spool. My car is not a dd and will see less than 5000 miles for the rest of the year. Weekend warrior basically. Now I've done some seraching and I understand that a spool and dr in the rain is a bad idea and that parking lot speeds the spool makes the tire chirp and it eats them up faster.

My question is how bad is it at highway speeds and up? I do a little bit of interstate rolling every now and then and occasionally I go around slight turns. How bad is it going to be? Am I going to have to worry about being thrown into another lane? What other things should I worry about?

I'm thinking about changing it out when I get the chance. Right now I'm at 588rwhp on 150 shot. Is that too much for a tru-trak? Should I just go with a locker?

can't tell that the spool is in my car when I'm not making tight turns. Just need to remember to turn at intersections wide and that when pulling into a spot it is a pain in the *** but other than that I'm happy with it. Lockers are very weird when they engage/disengage and cause a pulling feeling. With almost 600rwhp I'd say that's spool territory, but 31 spline and a tru-trac might now be that bad either.

I agree, I hardly ever notice a spool in highway/rural driving. I've driven in rain with a spool, it never has bothered me. With close to 600 rwhp, I'd go with it. Bob
