Check out this 6 speed article

As I recall, the C4 used either a Getrag or a ZF 6-speed, while the fourth-gen F-bodies had the Tremec (nee Borg-Warner) T56 from day one. Both had the 1-4 skipshift as prescribed by Genuine Motors; but otherwise, I was under the impression that they were entirely different units, and that the T56's more satisfactory operation prodded Dave Hill and the C5 engineering team to adapt it to the transaxle of the latest 'Vette.
And seeing that fourth-gen F-bods have always had the T56, I would guess (hope, anyway) that the clutches were the same, by and large.
Can anyone straighten this out?
Would be cool though!!!!
