Gears in a 10 bolt

Gears in a 10 bolt I have heard horror stories of 4.10's in a stock 10 bolt. Before I get the gears, is there any way to strengthen my 10 bolt without dropping $2000 on a Moser 12 bolt.
Re: Gears in a 10 bolt Most of the upgrades are "band aid" fixes. They are only "band aids" if this is going to be a "fast" camaro/firebird with serious engine upgrades or is headed to the track on slicks (alot!!!). If you are going to drive it and to an intake and headers and always run street rubber....I'd get a T/A performance rear girdle and give it a shot. But, there is no magic cure to fix the 10 bolt (besides a 12 bolt or 9"). Just my thoughts. Good luck!

Re: Gears in a 10 bolt I agree with trackbird when you're talking about a manual car. Gears, slicks and even moderate engine upgrades will kill the 10-bolt sooner or later. You can get them to last much longer under an Auto car.
