Default 4:10s in a 10 bolt YES or NO

I have a 99 WS6 M6 and want 4:10s but dont have the $$$ for a 12 bolt. The car is my daily driver and I MIGHT see the track 1 or 2 times in a year. Mostly just for killin stangs and ricers. Good idea or bad???

If you don't run on sticky tires, go for it. Otherwise I'd steer clear.

Go for it. You will absolutely LOVE the 4.10's. W/M6 trans & the big 6th gear, your highway mileage doesn't suffer at all, and you'll love the torque, also. Keep the sticky tire launches 3200 & below & you'll get the rear to live a fairly long life---axles may be the weak point. After 100 passes, the gears will start to get sharp & noisy. Then it's time to replace them, the carrier, and bearings. Get the T/A cover & stud kit & Moser axles, keep the tire size at 26", and you will have some fun on the street and at the track. Best wishes. WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
