GU6 and steel Drive shaft Alright ive seen it like 6 times on search if you have a steel drivshaft you have 2.73's. Well on my 99 Z28 M6 i have a steel DS but GU6 rpo code on door. So did some M6's with 3.42's have steel DS or whats the deal. Thanks Guys.

no, you should NOT have a steel driveshaft. did you buy the car used? if so someone may have sold the alum one for a few $ before they got rid of the car. You need to check your gears for sure and probably pick up an alum shaft.
