are all gear brands the same???

i'm looking to get some 3.73 gears and a new differential for my a4 z28. there are several different brand of gears out there. so i thought it would be a good idea to ask u guys what u thought. Are they all the same when it comes to strength?

i had a set of richmond gears 3.73 strong but a lil noisy

Richmonds are too brittle, hence the famous whine. I would go with Motive's.

I've always had good luck with Motive's. They are a little softer, and are dead silent. They outlasted an axleshaft and a carrier cutting 1.5 60 ft's with 5K clutch dumps.

I am running Motive 4.10's and have had no problems with them. They are quiet too, they sound stock.

I've had motive's and richmonds. Richmonds howl like crazy and get annoying... I haven't had the motive's long enough to break em yet, but they are almost silent. As far as strenght, from what I've read, they're about a dead match... but I broke my Richmonds.
